Greenwich Kite Festival 2024

Despite the unwelcome drizzle and a touch of blustery chill, the spirit of spring soared high at Tod’s Point this past Saturday morning. The annual Greenwich Kite Festival, a beloved tradition, brought families and kite enthusiasts together for a delightful morning of colorful competition and good old-fashioned outdoor fun.

Organized by Greenwich Parks and Recreation, this festival always evokes the simple joys of springtime in New England. Whether you’re a seasoned kite flyer or a complete novice, the wide-open spaces of Tod’s Point Beach provided the perfect canvas for creativity and a healthy dose of friendly competition.

With the gentle ocean breeze as their guide, participants of all ages sent their kites dancing across the sky, their vibrant hues a stark contrast to the gray drizzle.
