Allow us to introduce our Living Greenwich Pets of the Week! This week’s pet owner “Jenn” has 3 pets: 1. Josie, a 5 year old German Shepherd; 2. Luke Sky-whiskers, a 2 year old orange tabby cat; and 3. Buttons, a 1 year old lop eared bunny.
Give us 2 or 3 words that describe your pets.
- Josie (dog): playful, dopey, friendly.
- Luke Sky-Whiskers (cat): lazy, naughty.
- Buttons (bunny): comical, adorable and spoiled.
What are your nicknames for your pets?
- Josie (dog): jo-jo and smooch.
- Luke Sky-Whiskers (cat): pookie, and kitten.
- Buttons (bunny): button face.
What are the naughtiest things your pets have done?
- Josie (dog): raids the garbage whenever the opportunity arises and loves to steal hats with pom poms balls on top.
- Luke Sky-Whiskers (cat): fancies himself a hunter even though he is an inside cat. He didi bring a dead mole into the house. We like to say he is an indoor cat with outdoor privileges.
- Buttons (bunny): raided all the Halloween candy this past holiday, and ate all the Starbursts.
What are your pets favorite things to do?
- Josie (dog): chase the ball!!
- Luke Sky-Whiskers (cat): sneaking outside.
- Buttons (bunny): eating.
If your pets had professions, what would they be?
- Josie (dog): therapist.
- Luke Sky-Whiskers (cat): trial lawyer.
- Buttons (bunny): food critic.
If your pets could eat any human foods, what would they be?
- Josie (dog): will do just about anything for a carrot.
- Luke Sky-Whiskers (cat): goes crazy for greek olives, cake frosting and butter.
- Buttons (bunny): well…apparently, Starburst!!
Where are your pets favorite hangouts?
- Josie (dog): likes to hang out wherever her humans are.
- Luke Sky-Whiskers (cat): likes to find the coziest, unsuspecting place to take a nap, like on a pile of sweaters in a closet or under the covers, or in a basket of blankets.
- Buttons (bunny): likes to hang out in either of the kids rooms, when he is not lounging on his sherpa lined bed.
If your pets drove cars, what would they be?
- Josie (dog): would drive a mom van.
- Luke Sky-Whiskers (cat): would drive a Maserati.
- Buttons (bunny): would drive a convertible.
Who are your pet’s favorite people in the house and why?
- Josie (dog): Mom, because she does all the feeding and walking.
- Luke Sky-Whiskers (cat): Macklin, 12 yrs, because he lived in Macklin’s room for the first three weeks of his time with us when he was just 8 weeks old!
- Buttons (bunny): Cael, who is 10 because Buttons lives in her room.

Whether they’re dogs, cats, birds, or exotic pets of all kinds; these are the other cherished members of our families. They provide friendship. They entertain us. They improve our moods.
