Outdoor Dining on Greenwich Ave

Greenwich Ave has had a different look and feel to it since the Board of Selectmen approved plans to close a portion of the popular destination (beginning June 2nd) to vehicular traffic to allow more outdoor dining space.

Now downtown Greenwich buzzes with the positive vibes of a pedestrian-friendly area as local residents visit to shop and dine.

“Phase One” of the plan (which was recently slightly modified by the Select Board to address address parking, customer access, and delivery concerns) closes a portion of the avenue until September 2nd – but there are some thoughts that the current short term plan could evolve into something that is truly transformative for downtown Greenwich for years to come!

As part of the approved plan, the participating businesses are mandated to obey all federal, state and local laws and ordinances regarding public health PLUS social distancing must be adhered to.
