Dazzling Dahlias Show at The Greenwich Botanical Center

The Greenwich Dahlia Society’s 14th Annual Dazzling Dahlias Show at The Greenwich Botanical Center this past Sunday was a celebration of deliciously colorful blossoms tantalizing the senses of all who saw them!

There were a fabulous array of exceptional blooms on display in stunning colors and varieties. Exhibitors from all over the metro area brought their beautiful flowers to compete for trophies and awards.

The dahlia is the national flower of Mexico. With their pleasing geometry, perfect symmetry, rainbow of eye-candy colors, and availability in a vivid variety of shapes and sizes, with petals that can be spiky, wispy, round, thin, or any of a half-dozen of other variations – it’s no surprise that the National Garden Bureau has declared 2019 as the ‘Year of the Dahlia’!

This year’s show at the Greenwich Botanical Center presented the perfect opportunity to meet world class dahlia growers and view one-of-a-kind blooms in a fun and familiar local setting.
