It was a strong weekend for Greenwich travel baseball, with two Nationals squads bringing home league titles on the same day.

The Greenwich Nationals 8U squad defeated Pomperaug 8U 6-0 to claim the championship, allowing zero runs across six innings. The team jumped out to an early lead with three runs in the first inning and held Pomperaug off the scoreboard for the remainder of the game. The 8U team’s 11-player roster includes: Taylor B (#1), Holden B (#18), Pierson B (#23), James F (#6), Cash K (#13), Grayson M (#11), Ryder N (#14), Teddy O (#2), Kiran R (#12), Brock S (#9), and Warren S (#3).
The Greenwich Nationals 10U Red squad shut out the New Paltz Knights 7-0 to capture its own championship, finishing the game with 12 hits to New Paltz’s 3. The 10U Red team’s 10-player roster includes: Mason B (#17), Anthony C (#1), Ryan H (#23), Parker J (#2), Grayson L (#13), Santino M (#30), Trevor M (#10), Mack O (#12), Rylan S (#45), and Chase S (#8).
