Whoever said that art and commerce don’t mix was clearly mistaken.
Since 1998 Art to the Avenue has been doing just that. Each May, with the overwhelming support of the Greenwich business community, the Arts Council turns Greenwich Avenue into a strolling gallery.
Due to the Pandemic, stores will not be hosting receptions on opening day this year. However, the audiences can visit the art selected by the participating retailers through Memorial Day.
Art to the Avenue runs through May 31.

24 years ago Art to the Avenue began with a very small number of stores and artists. Now it has expanded beyond Greenwich Avenue and we have worked with hundreds of artists over the years.
It is with great pleasure that this year we are announcing the Second Art to the Avenue Exhibition in the Bendheim Gallery.
“Art to the Avenue Makes a Stop at the Bendheim” is a curated exhibition by the artists participating in this year’s event. There are over 90 works on exhibition in various mediums and subject matters. All the artwork is for sale, we encourage the audience to stop by and see these great works of art while at the same time supporting the arts community.
The exhibition will run through June 10, 2021.

With over 2,000 square feet of exhibition space, the Bendheim Gallery at the Greenwich Arts Council is a contemporary exhibition space accommodating a wide range of art works available for sale by established and emerging artists alike. It is one of the area’s primary visual arts destinations.
